| 8 | Job Description - Overview | The Junior ServiceNow Developer will support the Wyoming Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) Enterprise Platform Team by contributing to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. This position will assist in building scoped applications, optimizing existing modules, and supporting day-to-day workflows within ETS's ServiceNow environment. The role focuses on learning and applying ServiceNow best practices under the guidance of senior ETS resources, while contributing directly to the agency's digital transformation and internal capacity-building goals. | ||||||||
| 9 | Key Responsibilities | Platform Development & Enhancement Design and develop custom solutions that align with public sector service delivery goals. Develop and maintain scoped applications to automate workflows and integrate with third-party systems. Enhance and maintain ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, and SPM modules to support ETS operations. Implement and support Hardware Asset Management Professional (HAMPro) and assist with Software Asset Management (SAM) module implementation. Collaborate with ETS's Project Management Office (PMO) and stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable ServiceNow solutions. Follow ServiceNow development best practices for configuration, scripting, testing, and change management to ensure platform stability and security. Documentation & Reporting Create and maintain documentation on all developed and implemented products, including: Business rules, workflows, role assignments Database mapping, table descriptions, and configuration settings Contribute to monthly reports outlining project progress, risks, mitigation strategies, and solutions. Participate in weekly meetings with the Enterprise Platform Manager and team to resolve issues and recommend process improvements. Log hours worked using ETS's timekeeping system and provide input for monthly billing reconciliation. Collaboration & Team Uplift Work closely with system administrators, senior developers, and other ETS team members to deliver high-quality solutions. Participate in knowledge-sharing activities, shadow senior resources, and contribute to the team's growth and velocity. Adhere to all ETS and state-level IT policies, procedures, and security standards. Compliance & Security Ensure solutions comply with Wyoming OCIO Security Policies and Standards. Handle project data appropriately according to state classification and confidentiality requirements. | ||||||||
| 10 | Required Qualifications | 3 5 years of ServiceNow development experience, including scripting and application configuration. Hands-on experience with scoped application development, especially within the Public Sector Digital Services (PSDS) application. Working knowledge of HAMPro and foundational understanding of SAM. Familiarity with one or more of the following modules: ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, IRM, and SPM. Experience gathering requirements and translating them into ServiceNow workflows and forms. Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred) and basic familiarity with ServiceNow DevOps practices. Knowledge of ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer). Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and commitment to quality. Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working in multi-disciplinary teams. Familiarity with public sector or government agency environments is preferred. | ||||||||
