Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Consultant to lead technical oversight on modernization projects in the public sector, focusing particularly on an ERP Migration initiative. You will be integral to our Technology Consulting Practice Area, acting as the primary expert and guide throughout this significant project. Your responsibilities will include providing Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) services to ensure all project requirements are thoroughly met. You will collaborate closely with the project team, ensuring that deliverables uphold the highest quality standards and contribute valuable insights into the project's progress.

Your background in various industries (e.g., healthcare, education, finance) and technical expertise (such as technical writing and cloud/SaaS services) will be essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver proactive solutions to complex client challenges throughout the project lifecycle, employing a consultative mindset.
  • Identify potential issues and blockers early on, and develop strategies to address them.
  • Analyze patterns and root causes of problems, sharing insights with peers and leadership.
  • Conduct research and synthesize complex data to inform meaningful recommendations.
  • Lead project delivery activities, including analyses and the creation of deliverables, while effectively communicating project performance.
  • Manage diverse project teams focused on architecture, software design, development, and implementation.
  • Utilize financial expertise to enhance project outcomes and overall success.

Business Development

  • Contribute to proposal responses for RFPs, including writing and strategy development.
  • Analyze competitors and craft strategies to effectively differentiate our offerings in the marketplace.
  • Deepen your understanding of our product and service portfolio, guiding alignment with market demands.
  • Review RFPs thoroughly, leading bid decisions on opportunities.

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies based on location, role, skills, and experience level. The expected range for this position is $88,000-$140,000. Additionally, PCG offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, 401k, PTO, and parental leave.

Required Qualifications

  • Must reside in South Carolina, Georgia, or North Carolina.
  • Experience in large-scale ERP system implementation or technical project management, particularly with SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA RISE Migration.
  • Familiarity with Quality Assurance or IV&V within sizable HR/Financial system projects.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience delivering services across implementation, project management, and quality assurance for state governments in related sectors.
  • Outstanding writing and presentation skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences.
  • Proven track record of successfully collaborating with a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate and influence interactions with personnel at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with a strong presence and political acumen.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% for regional engagements, with some national travel once or twice a year.
  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert in S/4HANA RISE migration.

Preferred Technical Skills

5+ years of experience in the following:

  • In-depth knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC, BW, FICO, MM, SD) and their integration.
  • Expertise in SAP architecture frameworks, system landscapes, and data modeling principles.
  • Experience with cloud-based SAP solutions and migration strategies.
  • Proficiency with SAP integration tools and techniques, including APIs and middleware solutions.
  • Strong understanding of database technologies, especially SAP HANA and SQL.
  • Programming skills in languages such as ABAP, Fiori, or Java for customization and enhancements.

This role is hybrid, with some travel and onsite meeting requirements. Successful remote work practices at PCG include maintaining a distraction-free workspace and being available during defined working hours.
