divh2Parking Administration Associate/h2pJob Title: Parking Administration Associate/ppClassification: Non-Exempt/ppDepartment: Police Department/ppSupervisor: Parking Administration Manager/ppSalary: $36,135 to $50,589 Annually/ppGeneral Job Description:/ppConducts patrols in an effort to gain compliance with city parking regulations. Parking Administration Associates will enforce city parking regulations when necessary. This position is a limited authority uniform position./ppPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:/pulliEnforce city parking regulations by patrolling city streets in a vehicle, on foot, or other approved means of transportation./liliIssue parking violations without preferential treatment./liliCollect photograph evidence of parking violations and provide testimony to their accuracy./liliMaintain records and secure confidential documents./liliComplete forms and reports as necessary./liliImmobilize vehicles when authorized by the placement of a device./liliOperate an on-board license plate recognition camera system; perform minor maintenance or update software./liliTrain coworkers in area of responsibility as needed./liliOperate an electronic techet writing system./liliOperate a computer terminal, mobile data terminal, copiers, and printers./liliAnswer telephones, respond to requests and inquiries from the public and departmental personnel in a courteous manner, and provide general information regarding department policies, procedures, and regulations./liliOperate a motor vehicle in various weather conditions./liliCommunicate via police radio and mobile data terminal./liliMaintain assigned equipment and supplies and arrange for the repair and routine maintenance of assigned vehicles and equipment./liliPerform assigned duties with significant independence./liliCommunicate with the public in a professional and courteous manner while demonstrating high professional standards as a representative of the City of Cheyenne./li/ulpSecondary Duties and Responsibilities:/pulliAttend various trainings./liliParking Administration Associates are sworn in as Community Service Officers (CSO) and may assist on an as-needed basis as a CSO./liliPerform other duties and responsibilities as required./li/ulpKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:/pulliKnowledge of and ability to interpret and apply pertinent local laws./liliKnowledge of first aid principles and infectious disease exposure practices./liliKnowledge of interviewing and interrogation techniques./liliSkills to prepare clear, accurate and grammatically correct written reports./liliAbility to exercise sound judgement and rational thinking under stressful circumstances while choosing an appropriate and reasonable course of action./liliAbility to maintain a high level of confidentiality./liliAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing./liliAbility to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships./liliAbility to interact and communicate with the public in a manner that promotes trust and legitimacy with the City of Cheyenne./li/ulpQualifications for the Job:/ppRequired: High school diploma or equivalent/ppPhysical Requirements:/ppThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading, and writing. The employee is also required to maintain physical condition necessary for operating assigned equipment, walking, standing, kneeling, repeated bending or sitting for prolonged periods of time and lifting to 30 pounds. Maintain mental capacity which allows the capability of making sound decisions demonstrating intellectual capabilities. This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing./ppWorking Environment:/ppWork closely with others in an office utilizing a computer and other various office equipment.
