Robotics Operator for Wind Turbines

Description:

AERONES, a global leader in advanced winds turbine maintenance and robotics, is excited to announce an opening for a Robotics Operator for Wind Turbines, also known as Wind Field Technician, within our Operations Team. We specialize in innovative robotic solutions that prioritize safety, efficiency, and superior service for the wind energy sector.

As part of this role, you will travel to wind farms nationwide with all accommodation and travel expenses fully covered by the company. Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on wind turbines to ensure they operate at peak performance and safety standards.

To be considered for this position, you will need to complete both GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) and GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART) certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and operate robotic systems for cleaning, inspection, and repairs of wind turbines.
  • Conduct routine inspections on turbines to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on wind turbines and related systems to minimize downtime and enhance energy production.
  • Diagnose faults and resolve technical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and technologies.
  • Document and report completed work, including identifying issues, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work in various field conditions.
  • Previous experience in wind turbine maintenance is a plus.

Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Able to pass a physical check-up (medical) to fulfill job responsibilities (working in confined spaces, climbing, lifting, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • GWO Basic Safety Training (BST)
  • GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART) - Full
  • GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT)
  • OSHA 10
  • NFPA 70E
  • Electrical safety awareness
  • First Aid certification
  • Experience with GE / Vestas / Siemens Gamesa / Nordex turbine operations / LOTO
  • GWO Sea Survival certification
