Job Description Summary

As a Cost Transfer Manager, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for ensuring compliance with internal cost transfers at GE Aerospace. This position is essential for managing U.S. Government funded projects and ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, particularly FAR Part 31. You will become the go-to expert for interpreting various funding types, assessing commerciality claims, and collaborating with Finance, Billing, and Program teams to ensure all transfers are accurately accounted for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Guide a cross-functional team to standardize internal cost transfer processes across GE Aerospace sites, ensuring accuracy and regulatory adherence.
  • Compliance & Governance: Interpret and apply policies and FAR cost principles to complex internal cost transfer situations. Improve standard processes, including developing decision trees and job aids, to facilitate effective decision-making.
  • Analysis: Review and assess various funding types and commerciality claims for internal engagements, making determinations on competitiveness and allowable costs.
  • Billing Adjustments: Design and implement processes for managing internal cost transfer adjustments, working closely with the Billing Group for timely and accurate billing.
  • Issue Resolution: Assist in resolving discrepancies related to billing, revenue recognition, and margin analysis concerning internal transfers.
  • Problem Solving: Tackle complex government accounting issues by working with a broad team of stakeholders to develop compliance strategies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • Significant experience in U.S. Government cost accounting and internal transfers
  • Demonstrated experience in program finance and GAAP accounting along with U.S. Government cost principles.

  • Strong ability to interpret government contracts and funding structures
  • Proven skills in performing and explaining complex calculations clearly
  • Experience in team leadership within fast-paced, regulated environments
  • Aptitude for teaching and applying government accounting and cost principles
  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. cost accounting in relation to government contracts
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools
  • Ability to utilize lean principles in transactional settings for continuous improvement
  • Strategic thinker with established project management skills
  • Adaptable and resilient in changing environments
  • Strong communication abilities tailored to various audiences.

The base salary range for this position is $161,000 - $215,000, influenced by factors such as experience and skills. This role also includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of the base salary. This posting is set to close on 3/11/26.
