Role Overview

As a Senior Carpenter, you will engage in advanced carpentry tasks across a range of projects including new builds, renovations, and other construction endeavors. This position may also involve supervising and guiding a team within the carpenter scope of work. You will work with a variety of tools and specialized equipment while adhering to the highest safety standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform complex carpentry tasks with a focus on concrete and finish carpentry.
• Utilize all types of concrete tools and carpentry hand tools effectively.
• Set up forms for concrete and assist in placement and finishing tasks.
• Maintain and care for carpentry and concrete tools.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Contribute to team communication and collaboration to enhance project outcomes.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Carpenters

• Lead advanced tasks in concrete carpentry, including rebar placement and layout activities.
• Oversee the installation of cases, countertops, and running trim with a focus on quality.
• Train and mentor junior team members to uphold high-quality standards.
• Contribute to material forecasting, project planning, and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and project foreman about tasks and timelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in carpentry (required).
• Commercial construction experience is preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED; vocational or technical training is a plus.

Working Environment

• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Prepared to work in varying weather conditions and non-traditional hours.
• Reliable transportation is required.
