Registered Agent/Bookkeeper

Hiring Immediately! A Law Office Registered Agent/Bookkeeper manages the firm's finances, handling accounts payable/receivable, payroll, IOLTA trust accounts, and generating financial reports, while also serving as the official point of contact (Registered Agent) for legal mail, requiring strong legal software knowledge, attention to detail, and trust accounting expertise for compliance and operational efficiency.

The firm's lawyers have extensive experience in nearly all areas of civil litigation, including complex litigation, as well as in employment law, public utilities & energy law, business & commercial law, creditors' rights & foreclosure, trust-centered estate planning, and real estate law, among other areas of law.

Registered Agent/Bookkeeper Details:

  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $ 25.00 / hour
  • Full Time work available
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)

Registered Agent Duties:

  • Receive and process official legal mail and service of process for the firm
  • Maintain accurate contact information with the State
  • Bookkeeping Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable
  • Trust Accounting (IOLTA)
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Payroll Financial Reporting
  • Software Management
  • And more!

Registered Agent/Bookkeeper Qualifications:

  • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Proficiency with legal billing and accounting software
  • Strong understanding of trust accounting principles
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
