PODER Academy is seeking a passionate, committed, and mission-aligned K6 Classroom Teacher who believes that all students can achieve at high levels. The ideal candidate embraces high expectations, data-driven instruction, and a strong work ethic in service of student success.
Teachers at PODER Academy are part of a high-performing team that utilizes a proven instructional model requiring focus, dedication, and determination. This role includes delivering whole-group and small-group instruction in reading, language arts, and mathematics, supervising students, and actively participating in tutoring and enrichment as needed to ensure academic growth for all learners.
All teachers at PODER Academy must be fully aligned with our mission of academic excellence, high expectations, and preparing students for college and beyond. Teachers are expected to uphold rigorous instructional standards, maintain strong classroom culture, and commit to continuous professional growth.
Regular hours: Willingness to work hard and maintain a schedule of 7:40 AM 4:00 PM (MondayFriday), with extended hours until 5:00 PM on Mondays and Tuesdays for extra tutoring. Wednesdays and Thursdays are designated for professional development sessions, held once or twice a month from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Lunch: One-hour uninterrupted lunch break provided daily
