Description:

Honeywell Intelligrated is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician to provide onsite support to our customers' distribution centers in the Southeast region.As a Lead Field Service Technician, you will install and maintain new and old material handling and sortation equipment, respond to emergency service calls, and provide general customer support across all Intelligrated and legacy equipment, including sortation systems, AS/RS shuttles, robotic applications, palletizers, cranes, and conveying equipment.You will gather data using specific reports and Intelligrated procedures and supply custom reports to customers to assist in sales of parts and service contracts. You may also assist with field training of new employees and take on in‑house assignments covering technical support, training, or documentation.Position requires travel throughout the Southeast region and possible occasional travel to other areas. Residing in or willing to commute within any of the following states: OK, AR, TX, TN, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL, NC, SC.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical and electrical installation or modification to Intelligrated and legacy equipment (20%)New equipment commissioning and integration; troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC issues (40%)Modify, adjust, or develop robotic and PLC application code (20%)Complete various weekly reports (10%)Train and support resident technicians (10%)Travel 85% of the time throughout the Southeast regionQualificationsHigh school diploma (or equivalent) with 5 years of experience, ORAssociate's degree in engineering with 2 years of field experience, OR2+ years of strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical aptitude2+ years of experience with conveyor systems and high‑voltage electrical motors (VFDs, Servo, etc.)2+ years of experience using MS Office and Windows operating systemsValid driver's license and reliable transportation within one hour of a major airportWillingness to travel 85% of the time throughout the Southeast regionPreferred SkillsDiagnostic proficiency with Modicon, PLC5, or PLC500 PLCsExperience in electrical wiring and reading schematicsPrior customer service experienceAbility to work independently and collaboratively with teamsBenefitsEmployees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including employer‑subsidized medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; short‑term and long‑term disability; 401(k) match; flexible spending accounts; health savings accounts; employee assistance program; educational assistance; parental leave; paid time off for vacation, personal business, sick time, and parental leave; and 12 paid holidays.EEO StatementHoneywell is an equal‑opportunity employer.
