Family Engagement Facilitator (PEEPS)Location: Laramie County School District 1, Administration Building – Cheyenne, Wyoming.Position type: Full-Time, 190‑day contract, starting Aug 17, 2026.Salary: $62,114 minimum – $88,047 maximum base, plus benefits.Job SummaryServes as a liaison between schools and parents, advising and training parents, acting as intermediary, providing referrals, promoting learning opportunities, building community collaborations, and helping parents understand the education system to advocate for their children. This federally funded position continues as long as funding is available.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProfessional Development: Create and deliver parent engagement workshops, recruit volunteers, and ensure compliance with regulations.Collaboration: Initiate partnerships between schools, district, and community organizations; maintain updated partnership inventory.Monitoring & Evaluation: Track parent engagement activities, keep records, manage reports, surveys, and funding.Program Evaluation: Conduct surveys to assess parent needs, analyze results, and communicate findings to leadership.Reporting: Collect, analyze, and communicate data for district, state, and federal reporting.Public Relations: Serve as liaison for schools, parents, and community, facilitating communication of district strategies.Communication: Engage and inform students, families, and community members about district strategies, state and federal rights.Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned.Education and Related Work ExperienceBachelor's degree in a related field.Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with community and/or parent groups (or equivalent experience).Licenses, Registrations, and CertificationsCriminal background check required for hire.Valid Wyoming driver's license.Ability to travel among school and community locations.Technical Skills, Knowledge & AbilitiesAbility to promote and follow Board of Education, Superintendent, building, and department procedures.Effective communication and collaboration with diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.Commitment to workplace safety and confidentiality.Manage multiple tasks and priorities with frequent interruptions.Work with families from diverse backgrounds and abilities.Teach or present to large groups.Materials and Equipment Operating KnowledgePersonal computers and peripherals.Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Outlook.Typical office equipment (telephone, copier, fax, email).Reporting Relationships & DirectionReports to: Director of School Leadership.
