This role oversees site‑level security operations, vendor coordination, and technology deployment to safeguard people, assets, and infrastructure. The Director partners with IT, GSOC, vendors, and senior management to integrate cutting‑edge security technologies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure operational readiness. This role requires proactive leadership, strong judgment under pressure, and the ability to align field operations with CleanSpark's enterprise security objectives.This role requires professionalism, respect, strong communication, and the ability to work well with others in a team‑oriented, inclusive environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead regional execution of CleanSpark's corporate security strategy across WyomingDevelop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) that align with company strategy and mining operationsConduct regular site inspections and risk assessments, driving continuous improvementDeploy and evaluate advanced security technologies, including CCTV, AI video analytics (Actuate AI), autonomous drone systems (Nightingale Security), and GSOC platformsCollaborate with IT, GSOC, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of security technologiesServe as primary liaison with vendors and external security partners (e.g., Walden, Envoy, Actuate AI, Nightingale Security, GSOC providers)Oversee vendor performance, validate Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and conduct audits, incident reviews, and test scenariosCoordinate emergency responses with GSOC vendors for 24/7 remote monitoring and incident resolutionLead, mentor, and evaluate security and operations personnel across all sitesCollaborate with cross‑functional teams and senior leadership to align security strategies with business objectivesSupport team readiness through training programs, drills, and awareness initiativesRespond to incidents, manage escalations, and ensure timely resolution according to corporate standardsPromote a culture of proactive security awareness and operational excellence throughout the regionLead and oversee drone operations across regional sites, including patrol scheduling, reporting, and utilization metricsDevelop and implement training pipelines to ensure guard force and site managers maintain FAA Part 107 certificationManage vendor relationships, procurement, and maintenance contracts for drone hardware/software across regional sitesCollaborate with Corporate Security Technology and GSOC leadership to refine drone SOPs, integrate AI analytics, and evaluate emerging UAS technologiesAdvise on budgeting (CapEx/OpEx) for scaling drone coverage in line with site growthAdditional duties as assignedQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, or related field; or equivalent military leadership experience6+ years of progressive experience in physical security, risk management, or critical infrastructure protection3+ years of leadership experience managing multi‑site or decentralized teamsDemonstrated experience in incident response, threat mitigation, and emergency operationsWorking knowledge of modern security technologies (e.g., CCTV, access control, remote monitoring)Ability to navigate large industrial sites and respond in person to time‑sensitive events across outdoor environmentsFAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate requiredValid U.S. driver's license (driving is an essential function of the role)Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checkStrong leadership skills with proven ability to make sound decisions under pressureExcellent communication skills with the ability to brief executives, coordinate with vendors, and guide field teamsAbility to thrive in dynamic environments, adapt to varied site conditions, and align actions with broader corporate security objectivesPreferred QualificationsMilitary, certified law enforcement, or high‑pressure field leadership experienceDemonstrated success managing security operations across multiple sitesCorporate security experience in data centers, critical infrastructure, or high‑security environmentsStrong knowledge of biometric access controls, physical security systems, and incident managementProven ability to collaborate with government agencies and external security partnersExperience with emerging technologies such as AI video analytics, drones, and integrated surveillance systemsTrack record of driving operational excellence while fostering a proactive security cultureThis position may involve duties that require operation of a company vehicle or travel between job sites.
