Project Overview:

The rapid growth of AI and digitalization is fueling unprecedented demand for data centers that require large, reliable sources of energy. In response to this market trend, the Renewables & Clean Power (R&CP) team has signed an early works contract to build one of the largest gas-fired power generation facilities in the U.S. Our team is helping the customer progress early-stage development, that would lead to the start of full EPC delivery in 2026.

We are seeking a University Hire to support project HR operations within a dynamic construction environment in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Project HR Manager and working as part of the HR team, this site-based role provides day-to-day HR support to the project team. This role will assist with core people processes, maintain accurate HR records and data, support employee onboarding and offboarding, and help coordinate employee relations, performance, compliance, and engagement initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to develop practical HR experience while working closely with project stakeholders and experienced HR professionals. #LI-KL1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and supervisors, serving as a first point of contact for HR-related inquiries
  • Support onboarding and mobilization activities
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR data in relevant systems, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Assist with administration of core HR processes, including staffing, workforce tracking, and employee lifecycle programs
  • Support employee relations activities
  • Assist in the delivery of performance management processes
  • Support HR reporting and data tracking, including headcount, onboarding status, and staffing metrics
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, communications, and site events to enhance employee experience
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Advisory Services, Payroll, and Operations) to support workforce needs
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with less than 1 year of experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communicationand interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail anda commitmenttomaintainingaccuratedata and documentation.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to learning, problem solving, and supporting operational HR activities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced site environment and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
